Ingredients
- Canola oil, for frying
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb green beans, tipped
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

Step 1:
In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, heat 2 inches of canola oil.

In a large mixing bowl, separate onions into rings and toss with flour and salt.

When oil is hot, add a handful of onions and fry until golden brown.

Transfer to paper towel-lined plate and repeat with additional batches.

In another large skillet, melt butter with garlic over medium heat.

Step 6:
Add green beans and chicken broth, season with pepper to taste.

Step 7:
Stir and cover with lid. Cook until desired tenderness, about 5 – 7 minutes.

Step 8:
Sprinkle cheese all over and cover with lid until melted.

Top with crispy onions and serve immediately.
