Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. bratwurst sausage, casing removed
- 1 large sweet onion, medium diced
- 8 cups water
- 1 can (28 ounce) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 can (15 – 16 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 – 16 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 Tbsp pickled jalapenos, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp whole cumin seed
- 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 cubes chicken bouillon
- 2 Tbsp Texas Pete hot sauce
Directions

Step 1:
Add the ground beef, sausage, and onion to a large stockpot and cook on medium heat. Break the meat into large pieces. Use a spoon to continue to break meats into smaller pieces as it cooks. Continue to cook until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the grease.

Step 2:
Add 8 cups of water to the stockpot.

Step 3:
Add the remaining ingredients and bring contents to a rolling boil.

Reduce heat to a slow boil and cook for 1 hour, stirring every 10 – 15 minutes.
