Grilled Pound Cake with Grilled Peaches and Grilled Bananas

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 banana, ripe but firm
  • Pound cake, cut into 1 inch slices (need 4 slices total)
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 medium, ripe but firm peaches, cut in half with pits removed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 8 marshmallows
  • 2 Skewers
  • Chocolate and caramel sauce, for drizzling

Directions

  • Step 1:

    Stir together melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.

  • Step 2:

    Slice banana in half, lengthwise, leaving peel on. Brush with butter mixture and let rest for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3:

    While the banana is resting, continue grilling other components as follows.

  • Step 4:

    Brush one side of each slice of pound cake with melted butter and place, butter side down, on grill that was preheated to medium heat. Brush tops with melted butter.

  • Step 5:

    Grill for 2 – 3 minutes, flip and grill other side for 2 – 3 minutes. Set aside.

  • Step 6:

    Brush halved peaches with olive oil and place, cut side down on grill heated to medium. Brush tops of peaches with more olive oil. Cook for 5 – 6 minutes, until you see grill marks, flip and grill and additional 3 – 5 minutes. Slice and set aside.

  • Step 7:

    Place 4 marshmallows per skewer and toast over your grill to your desired liking.

  • Step 8:

    When banana has rested for 10 minutes, Grill, flesh side down, over medium heat, for 2 – 3 minutes, flip and grill an additional 1 minute. Slice for serving.

  • Step 9:

    Assemble by placing pound cake on a plate and top with grilled peaches, grilled bananas, toasted marshmallows and a drizzle of chocolate and caramel sauce.
