Peanut Crusted Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup salted peanuts, finely chopped
  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • ½ cup canola oil (or oil of your choice for frying)
  • Honey or barbecue sauce

Directions

  • Step 1:

Gather 3 large bowls. Place flour in one bowl, mix together egg and water in the second bowl, and place the finely chopped peanuts in the third bowl.

  • Step 2:

Dredge each chicken tender through the flour, then the egg, then the peanuts. Prepare all the tenders before you begin frying.

  • Step 3:

Add canola oil to a medium skillet and heat over medium heat. When oil is ready, add 4 to 5 chicken tenders to the skillet. (Fry tenders in small batches for best results).

  • Step 4:

Cook each side of the tender for 3 – 5 minutes, until golden brown.

  • Step 5:

Place on a paper towel lined plate to drain.

  • Step 6:

Sprinkle with honey or dip in your favorite barbecue sauce.
